Summary and recommendation

If I had to choose between the two scooters, I would go with the Joovey Scooter X2 because it is much easier to transport, handle in different terrains, and it could also be a bit more sturdy. There are a few quirks, but I don’t think they’re too much to deal with. And these advantages certainly outweigh the disadvantages.

That’s not to say the City Mini Double isn’t a good choice. It’s lightweight and neutral, making it a good gender-neutral choice. But what hurt me were the reports of customers having problems getting the wheels up naturally to the curb.

Nonetheless, given your personal circumstances, you may decide that you wouldn’t mind trying the City Mini. Maybe a sale could make it good value for money when you’re ready to make your purchase.
